Taking a second look at existing tolling technology to design a better, more tightly-integrated solution

Typically in a single attended toll lane design, the tollbooth may have a side-mounted patron toll display, a stand-alone traffic light signal, overhead VES cameras mounted in the gantry, and violation alarms and signals positioned elsewhere in the lane. Our engineers recognized that consolidating these components into a single pedestal makes installation and maintenance much more efficient. The UTS Traffic Control Pedestal (TCP) provides a single location for these devices and allows access to VES cameras without costly lane closures or lift equipment being required.

The UTS TCP houses these components and is configurable based on the lane type (attended, ACM, dedicated ETC, attended ETC, etc):
