The UTS Infinity ∞ Digital Lane System incorporates the advanced tolling technologies of multiple systems into an integrated blade-based unit that is easily upgradeable and maintainable. The system includes: Lane Server, Network Switch, IVIS Controller, and Digital Data Controller. This modular system supports single lanes as well as multiple Open Road Tolling lanes.
Lane Server System
The Lane Server system accurately processes each vehicle that traverses the lane in near real-time. Supporting functionality includes:
- Running continual diagnostics on lane sensors and
display devices - Managing the download and use of tag status files for lanes that are equipped for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) or Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI)
- Communicating all lane-level toll transactions
to the facility computer - Logging all transactions to local memory for redundancy
- Monitoring the cash received by attendants
and in coin machines - Managing vault movement, collector performance,
toll rate tables, and other critical information
